The film stars McKaley Miller, Anne Heche, and Dermot Mulroney. Produced by Iris Indie International, it’s been released by Quiver Distribution on April 7, 2023.
Eden, a bright student who is wait-listed at her dream college, attends a party hosted by a powerful Congressman’s son to get a letter of recommendation. However, she and her friend Zara discover that Schroder and his friends are involved in the disappearance of a missing girl. As tensions rise, Eden uses her wit and manipulation skills to navigate the dangerous social hierarchy of the wealthy elite and protect herself and those she cares about. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers shocking secrets and must fight to survive.
If you can suspend disbelief, and just enjoy the ride, this is a fun little thriller -that’s an easy watch. Mckaley Miller is believable as a student who attends a “heaven and hell” party in order to cozy up to another student who’s parents (Dermot Mulroney and Anne Heche RIP) can write her a recommendation letter to the college of her dreams. All hell breaks loose when she discovers something more sinister at play. The movie looks good, moves at a brisk pace and all the actors pull it off just fine. Just when you think it’s going to take itself too seriously, it doesn’t, which makes it’s flaws that much more easy to forgive.
